Royal DeMaria Wines, 'Canada's Icewine Specialist', has walked away with a Silver Medal at the coveted Vinitaly 2001 competition. The medal was awarded for Royal DeMaria Wines 1999 Vidal Icewine. Honourable Mentions were also attained for the other 2 wines entered namely, Royal DeMaria Wines 1999 Riesling Icewine, and Royal DeMaria Wines 1999 Gewurztraminer Icewine.

Royal DeMaria's 1999 Vidal Icewine recently received a Double Gold Medal at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition and a Silver Medal for their 1999 Riesling Icewine.

Representatives at Royal DeMaria Wines see the continued success of their Icewines as a great way to promote a 'futures' program with their more unique varietals, meaning the wine is purchased prior to harvest, weather permitting.
